Our Team

Mark Phillips has more than 30 years of experience in real estate development, acquisitions, finance and law. His work has involved various real estate asset classes including senior housing, multi-family, office and industrial, retail and hotels. In addition to his role at Pacifica Senior Housing, Mark is a principal at Pacifica Capital, conceptualizing, developing and financing senior housing and other capital projects. He is also a principal in two senior housing private equity funds and, most recently, a developer affiliated with RhodesMoore LLC in several senior housing and other projects.

Mark began his career as a real estate and corporate attorney at Donovan, Leisure, Newton and Irvine in their New York office. He later joined the Meredith Organization, a boutique real estate investment firm, where he oversaw acquisitions, syndications and debt financing in New York, and company development projects and asset management in Denver. Following his years at Meredith, Mark was a vice president of development for Watt Investment Properties, a division of Watt Industries headquartered in Los Angeles. He then worked for a family-owned investment company before co- founding Pacifica Capital.

Mark holds dual bachelor’s degrees magna cum laude in Economics and English from UCLA, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a JD from UC Berkeley School of Law. He is a member of the California and New York bars and a licensed California Real Estate Broker.
